What You Will Do:

The West Palm Beach is looking for a 2nd shift Cell Leader to support the F135 and APU OEM product lines. The selected individual will supervise a team of bargaining unit hourly employees who are responsible for supporting engine and APU assembly and test in WPB. In addition, the Cell Leader will be a contributor in meeting all: EH&S, Customer, Quality, and Financial goals within the WPB PDC facility.

The selected candidate will also be expected to effectively provide clear and crisp communication to EC leadership, peers, and subordinates. Competencies that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication. The individual must embrace the ACE Operating System and be able to thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the assembly and test team to support production and quality goals.

  • Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.

  • Proactively generate effective solutions for Quality process control and Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Support process implementation and refinement activities throughout all process gates

  • Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.

  • Ensure full involvement in ACE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize ACE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Operations or Quality or Military, preferably within the Aerospace industry.

  • Due to some military development work, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Qualifications We Prefer:

The preferred candidate should also have direct demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Ability to drive obligations to closure with precision to benefit the organization and every constituent.

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC)

  • Success working in a high energy and fast paced manufacturing environment with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions. Must be team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to plan projects and to use written/verbal/analytical/org skills to influence business objectives.

  • The preferred candidates will have A&P license or similar military experience and experience leading bargaining unit workforce.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
