JEVS Human Services Accounts Payable Manager in United States

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee a team that processes the company’s accounts payable in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

This role is hybrid, at least 3 days onsite required weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of accounts payable team including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports.

  • Maintain vendor maintenance records.

  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Handle inquiries and resolve discrepancies from vendors and internal management.

  • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline the accounts payable workflow.

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and compliance requirements such as 1099s filing.

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years in accounts payable or related accounting role, with 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is a plus.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

  • Leadership and team building skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.

  • Accounts Payable automation experience strongly preferred.
