The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate customer adoption. As a Solutions Architect at AWS you will work directly with customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by the opportunity to work backwards from these customers' needs and help them gain competitive edge using AWS. As an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML.

As a part of the role, you will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community. You will also gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

Key job responsibilities

• As a key member of the Solutions Architecture team, ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform

• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on running silicon design/EDA workloads efficiently and reliably on AWS platform

• Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud

• Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts

• Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS cloud

• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions

• Expertise and deep knowledge of best practices in troubleshooting and performance tuning of silicon design IT computing environments

• Familiarity with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and the semiconductor design process

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with C-Suite, line of business executives, IT management, and developers

• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

• Experience in technology sales or pre-sales consulting

• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
