As our business grows, we currently have permanent opportunities for qualified Trades professionals to work across day, afternoon and night shifts at our advanced world-class manufacturing facility based in Port Melbourne. The roles will primarily be based on afternoon shift but flexibility is required to work on day and night shift if required. We have several opportunities available throughout 2024.

What will I be doing?

Working in a supportive team environment, you will be trained in the pre and post production processes of aircraft components, exercising high precision trade skills using various material and/or specialist manufacturing techniques. Absolutely no previous experience in our industry required. We have a three-shift operation:

Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm

Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm (15% Salary loading)

Night Shift: 10pm – 6:30am (30% Salary loading)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Australian recognized Trade qualification (Certificate III or above) is essential

  • Completion of a trade Apprenticeship backed with relevant experience working in your trade

  • Literacy and numeracy skills to follow and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings

  • Hand skills with a high level of attention to detail under repetitive conditions

  • Ability to work independently or part of a diverse team towards a common goal and to agreed deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Enjoy working with hands and physical work

  • Basic computer skills

  • Commitment to OHS procedures

  • Reliable and willingness to undertake shift work is essential

Additional Information:

This is an EBA position classified as a Base Tradesperson. Starting salary from 1 July 2024 will be $89,549 + 11.5% Super and will increase to $92,240 + 11.5% Super upon successful completion of training. Candidates will be required to complete background checks and successfully complete a 3-month probationary period.
