We're on the hunt for a dynamic individual capable of orchestrating and bringing to life both digital and physical events from a remote workstation in Malaysia for our Japan-based team. Your Role and Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution: Simplified, your primary task is to conceive, prepare, and deliver both online and in-person events. Think of yourself as the architect of experiences that bridge IBM's innovations with our client's needs, ensuring every event is a step towards solving their challenges.

Operational Mastery: You'll wield a variety of IBM's internal tools with precision, overseeing the lifecycle of an event from its inception on paper to its real-world culmination, including budget oversight and vendor management.

Collaborative Promotion Strategies: Beyond the confines of event planning, you'll join forces with cross-functional teams to craft and roll out promotional activities that amplify our event's reach and impact.

Performance Analysis: With a keen eye on outcomes, you'll monitor how each event fares against our objectives, ready to pivot and enhance future strategies for better alignment with our goals.

This is a Hybrid role, attendance to the office is requested at least 4 times a week until the team is comfortable with the work environment. Then it can come down to 3 times per week depending on the role.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Team Collaboration: Your ability to work seamlessly with diverse groups, especially in a remote setup, is crucial. Think of collaboration as the backbone of making event magic happen.

Bilingual Communication: Fluent in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above), you'll bridge the linguistic divide, ensuring smooth internal coordination and engaging presentations to our audience.

Problem Solving: Faced with challenges, your knack for devising effective solutions will be key in navigating the complexities of event management.

Technical Savvy: A solid grounding in basic IT, with a particular emphasis on platforms and software pivotal to virtual events and customer relationship management, will enable you to leverage technology in our event strategies effectively.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven Event Management: If you've previously orchestrated B2B marketing events or webinars, your experience will be invaluable in enriching our event portfolio.

Marketing Flair: Your past endeavors in crafting and executing marketing plans, especially those involving social media or targeted email campaigns, will be crucial in reaching out and engaging our target audience.

Agency Partnership: Working with external event agencies. Your ability to collaborate and co-create with partners amplifies the quality and reach of our events.
