Pfizer Director, Analytic Strategic Initiatives in New York City, New York

The Analytic Transformation & Governance team is the central pillar for propelling a rapid transformation within the recently formed Commercial Analytics & AI (CAAI) organization at Pfizer. This organization is made up of various functional areas including Insight Strategy & Execution, Market Research Insights, Data Science and AI, and Analytic Engineering. Our core objective is to facilitate and guide this organization through its transformative journey by delivering crucial initiatives, tools, and capabilities. As a key player in Pfizer's commercial transformation, our team takes the lead in defining and driving critical analytic priorities and governance necessary to achieve our goals.

We are seeking a Director of Analytic Strategic Initiatives who will enable our analytics transformation. This role will work closely with Senior Leaders in CAAI, Chief Marketing Office, People Experience, and the Commercial business to lead transformation initiatives for the organization during its rapid transformation phase.

The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic, analytics professional with a passion for fostering change management, continuous improvement and supporting teams through transformation. They possess exceptional communication skills, able to craft compelling messages and engage diverse audiences effectively. With a keen understanding of team needs and motivations, business and analytic goals and priorities, they excel at designing and implementing transformation initiatives that empower individuals and the CAAI organization to succeed. A collaborative mindset enables them to build strong relationships across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, their analytical mindset allows them to measure the impact of their initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Analytic Transformation Enablement

  • Identify, build, and deliver transformation projects within the CAAI organization, with a focus on building best practices and the overall cross-functional alignment, coordination, and partnership between Insight Strategy & Execution, Market Research Insights, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering.

  • Responsibilities include developing detailed project plans and ensuring efficient project execution; facilitating multi-stakeholder/function deep-dive working sessions aimed at problem solving, knowledge transfer, process understanding; identifying continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with the CAAI organization and supporting business case development / execution of the initiatives.

  • You will work as a coach and a facilitator for on key projects as well as develop/support performance metrics to measure program success and optimization.

  • Develops and sustains constructive partnerships between CAAI functional leaders and teams to ensure success of enablement and transformation initiatives.

  • Use innovative thinking to challenge the status quo and drive identification, development, and execution of enablement solutions.

Communication

  • Develop communication plans and strategies - internal to CAAI and external to Marketing and Sr. Leadership communication - to showcase analytic impact/ROI

  • Drafts compelling narratives, case studies, and presentations to highlight achievements and demonstrate the value of analytics initiatives.

  • Collaborate with CAAI leadership to cascade organizational goals and innovation initiatives effectively through internal Townhalls, leadership meetings, and other forums.

  • Helps develop and communicates a compelling and inspiring vision to CAAI functional teams.

  • Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles, at all levels of the organization; able to get the key messages across that have the desired effect.

  • Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication across the organization; prepares and delivers regular updates on project status, both in written and presentation format, to sponsors, business leaders and stakeholder group.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, sales, communications, consulting or analytics, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare space.

  • BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Team/Sharepoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Experience managing large scale projects/programs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of enabling teamwork in a matrix environment.

  • Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions.

  • Strong diplomacy skills; able to navigate a rapid environment.

  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • An "execution mindset" focused on getting things done quickly and simply.

  • Leads and directs one or more project teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.

  • Ability to work across expertise areas, perform business discovery, simplify complex problems, and propose innovative solutions.

  • Skilled in filtering and distilling information for diverse audiences and inspiring change through positive influence.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily computer-based work. This role will be demanding and will require self-regulation of workload, working through ambiguity, and effective time management to be successful.

Work Location Assignment:Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
