Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) defines, executes and delivers innovative engineering technology solutions to the entire Boeing enterprise. The Boeing Research & Technology team in Japan specifically supports regional innovation excellence across SE Asia in collaboration with industry, academia, and government partners.

We are seeking a mid-level Digital Engineer to work on Electrical Systems to join the Digital Engineering team in Japan. This electrical engineer/physicist/mathematician assesses current processes for weakness and develops technology focused on Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Engineering (MBE)/Digital Engineering to support the digital transformation within The Boeing Company. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for building and maturing a workflow that integrates different engineering tools to form a digital thread with system models from MBSE tools to wiring design product lifecycle management, and modeling and simulation. The initial work focuses on the assessment of tools, and development and documentation of standard processes that bridge architectures and designs between different PLM and modeling systems/software, but it is expected to grow to integrate multiple engineering disciplines and integrate with requirements management, MBSE, Multi-Domain Analysis and Optimization (MDAO), and digital verification and validation at the full aircraft scale.

This position is part of the BR&T Digital Engineering Global Center. It includes more than 150 engineers from around the world working on targeted research and functional support projects.

This position is based in Nagoya and is an open-ended contract.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Clarifying and improving upon the definition of standard work within the electrical design and integration (EDI/Wiring) domain and documenting it.

• Creating activity diagrams for that standard work.

• Developing and testing software connections between simulation environments and engineering functions.

• Bridging design definitions with modeling and simulation needs.

• Developing methods to automate requirements traceability.

• Stress testing the data connections between environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.

• Experience with wiring design in the automotive, rail, marine, or aerospace industries.

• Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Background with query languages such as SPARQL.

• Programming skills in Java, Python, MATLAB, or other languages.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools such as SysML.

• Experience manipulating XML and other text-based configuration files.

• Proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools.

• Knowledge of Siemens Capital (formerly Mentor Graphics) tools (e.g., Capital Systems Architect and Capital Logic).

• Experience with software development processes.

• Experience with Multi-disciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) concepts and tools.

• Experience with requirements development, management, and validation.

• Project management experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese.

• For native Japanese language speakers, English translation support can be provided for interview stage only.

Boeing Japanでは、国内のデジタルエンジニアリングチームにて Electrical Systems に携わっていただく Digital Engineer を募集しています。本ポジションのエンジニアは、現在のプロセスにおける弱点を評価し、モデルベース システム エンジニアリング (MBSE) 、モデルベース エンジニアリング (MBE)/デジタル エンジニアリング分野における技術開発を重点的に行い、ボーイング社全体のデジタルトランスフォーメーションに貢献いただきます。

具体的には、MBSEツールから配線設計、製品ライフサイクル管理、モデリング、シミュレーションまで、さまざまなエンジニアリングツールを統合し、システムモデルをデジタルスレッドとして形成するワークフローの構築と開発を担当します。 初期段階では、ツールの評価、異なるPLMやモデリングシステム／ソフトウェア間のアーキテクチャや設計のブリッジを行う標準プロセスの開発とドキュメンテーションをメインに行っていただきますが、将来的には、複数のエンジニアリング分野を統合し、要求管理、MBSE、マルチドメイン解析と最適化（MDAO）、航空機のフルスケールでのデジタル検証と妥当性確認を一体的に行っていただきます。

業務内容（下記以外の内容が含まれる場合もございます）：

必須スキル：
