Job Information

Job Summary:

This position provides technical support activities related to scientific research projects in the lab. This temporary full time position is ideal for those wishing to gain experience in a research laboratory before applying for graduate school in neuroscience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for lab inventory management.
  • Order, receive and setup lab equipment.
  • Interact with campus research and compliance committees (communication and meetings).
  • General lab upkeep.
  • General animal handling and care.
  • Assist in experiments.
  • Prepare experimental equipment.
  • Provide technical support to lab members.
  • Perform experiments and procedures to support data collection.

Additional Requirements

Education, Experience or Certifications:

Education:

  • BA or BS in a biology discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • Six months working in a biology research laboratory preferred.
