For our Hill's Pet Nutrition facility in Castiglione delle Stiviere we are looking for a Thermal Process Scientist -

Premium Wellness & Therapeutic Products at the Forefront of Food Science Innovation.

Our European S&T Group is looking for a passionate food science professional, specialized in thermal processing. We're seeking a Thermal Process Scientist to lead our efforts in ensuring the safety and shelf-stability of low-acid foods. In this position you would be part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing consumer well-being through our premium product portfolio

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development and optimization of thermal processes for food safety and quality.

  • Conduct in-depth scientific studies, including heat penetration and thermal-death-time experiments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product design with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Manage process deviations and ensure continuous improvement in product safety.

  • Oversee project budgets and potentially lead a team of dedicated professionals.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Thermal Process Authority.

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Food Engineering, or a related field.

  • A strong foundation in formula development and food science principles.

  • Proven ability to design experiments, execute projects, and analyze data.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Proficiency in productivity and statistical software.

  • Fluent in English, Italian would be a plus
