Your Role on Our Team:

As a Calibration Metrology Engineer, you will assist in overseeing a global calibration system. This role will interact will all disciplines of engineering throughout the global corporation. You will be the primary point of contact with national and local calibration services with opportunities to expand the role to include gage and fixture design.

What You’ll Do:

  • Managing the calibration segment of the metrology department

  • Maintain online gage management system, updating certifications and dates

  • Assist in leading a global team of calibration personnel in determining calibration software needs.

  • Audit and evaluate potential calibration suppliers

  • Analyze inspection, measuring, and test equipment to determine calibration requirements

  • Schedule calibration to ensure that metrology work orders are completed in a timely manner

  • Analyze requirements for measurement standards and make recommendations

  • Communicate with other depts and vendors regarding test, measurement, and calibration

  • Document laboratory best practices and assist in training calibration technicians

  • Work with global teams on gage design and calibration requirements

  • Maintain online gage management system, updating certifications and dates

The Tools You’ll Need to Have:

  • Associate degree or higher related to engineering, design, or manufacturing

  • 3 years minimum of experience years in Metrology or Quality Field performing tasks listed above.

  • General knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T principals

  • Familiarity with MiniTab or other statistical software.

The Other Tools We’d Like to See:

  • Fixture and gage design experience

  • Solid modeling software such as Solidworks or NX

  • Manufacturing Experience is a plus!
