About the VALD Marketing Team

The VALD Marketing team is based in our Brisbane HQ, comprising of a diverse team of specialists who work globally across multiple VALD brands and market segments. The Marketing team collaborates across Product Strategy, Manufacturing, Engineering, Commercial and Finance – and the decisions they make shape the client experience and the overall public perception of VALD. The Marketing team guides the client experience to ensure it is on-brand, unified and positive.

We have plenty of growing left to do, and we are looking for a Senior Video Content Producer to join the team.

What you will do

This role will work alongside our growing Marketing team, which includes Developers, Designers, Digital Marketing Specialists, Communications and Content writers. You will take ownership of the video production team, steering the visual identity of VALD brands, products, and campaigns.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure VALD produces a steady stream (roughly 1-3 videos per week) of high-quality, primarily education-focused video content.

  • Work on a variety of content covering product launches, product enhancements, applied use of products, instructional and educational videos.

  • Conceptualise shoot briefs and storyboards for approval prior to shoots.

  • Plan, film, and edit videos ranging from social media point-and-shoot to high-quality product launch campaigns.

  • Direct talent, manage sets and lighting.

  • Edit raw footage into polished publishable videos using industry-standard editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere).

  • Enhance video and audio quality through colour correction, sound design and other post-production techniques.

  • Ability to produce social media content and adapt or re-purpose content from campaigns for use in social media.

  • Shoot high quality still images and video footage as required.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the videography team, fostering their professional growth and development.

Is this you?

Technical experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts or related field is desirable.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in videography and video editing.

  • Experience in leading video production teams and delivering projects on tight deadlines.

  • Strong understanding of cinematography principles, lighting techniques and audio production.

  • Experience and comfort with high-volume work, creating and publishing multiple videos per week.

Non-technical experience:

  • Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills.

  • A passion for understanding the audience and the goal of the project, in order to create videos that are fit-for-purpose and tailoring the production to suit - be it roughly shot on an iPhone or produced to studio quality.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
